NHS Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has appointed a new Non-Executive Member to its Governing Body. Rob Bennett is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director in Norfolk.
He was a partner with the management consultancy firm PwC for 25 years, responsible for public sector assurance. He is an Independent Hospital Manager with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS FT, responsible for reviewing the detention of patients under the Mental Health Act. He holds Non-Executive positions with Flagship Housing Group, is independent Chair of the Norfolk Police Commissioner’s Audit Committee and is vice-chair of Whitlingham Charitable Trust. He is also a lay member of NHS West Norfolk CCG’s Governing Body.
The Chair of NHS Norwich CCG, Tracy Williams, said: “We all welcome Rob to the CCG. He has considerable experience and insights from many years’ association with the NHS.
“Rob’s professional background in governance and assurance will bring our CCG added strength in many areas, as we take on primary care commissioning and continue to meet our statutory requirements.
“He is also the second new non-executive member of our Governing Body to be appointed who has particular insights into mental health which I am sure will strengthen the CCG’s work.”
Rob lives close to Norwich and is married with two children.
