Preventing accidents in the home

A free service to help young families to stay healthy and safe in their own home is now available in Norwich

Did you know children aged between 0-4years are most at risk from a preventable accident in their home? Sadly, across the UK one child dies each week following a preventable accident.

In Norwich we have high numbers of young children attending A&E or local GP surgeries following an accident at home. Most of these accidents are avoidable through increased awareness, improvements in the home environment and information about how to use everyday household items more safely.

We’d really like to reduce the number of children being hurt from a preventable accident in their own home and are working with Norwich City Council to provide free safety equipment for homes with young children.
